This was a 700sf bungalow style house originally built in the 1920s. We added an additional 800sf conditioned space and 400sf for an attached garage. We wanted to create a craftsman-style home. We added a stone veneer wainscot around the perimeter to mimic a stone foundation.
Stringent zoning requirements, consideration for setbacks and size constraints, and our desire to make the addition seem like it was part of the original form and style of the 1920 bungalow while updating the finishes created unique challenges; however, we overcame and the finished project speaks for itself.
