This was a 640sf house originally built in 1947.  We demolished the exiting home since it had sever structural defects and it was more cost effective to start from scratch.  The original plan was to add a two story Mediterranean style home on this lot.  After a few iterations we decided to scale down the house to single story custom home.  We made all the plate heights nine feet and vaulted the living room to make the spaces seem bigger.
