This was a major remodel to the legendary State and A restaurant. The construction was originally built in the 1960′s. The Santa Barbara Historic Landmarks Commission required the stone pilasters, located along Anapamu Street, to be salvaged from an even earlier building that had been demolished.

Even though the building was erected in the 1960′s, it had many components of today’s construction technologies. During site investigations we determined that the original steel moment frames and reinforced CMU walls could be retrofitted to accommodate the new remodel.
